Wallendorf Porcelain Figurine, “Boy With Rabbits”, c 1960’s

A marvelous porcelain figurine of a "Putto" or young boy with Rabbits, designed by Kurt Steiner in the 1920's and produced by Wallendorf circa 1964. Porcelain production began in the municipality of Wallendorf, Thuringia in 1763 and operated under numerous restructurings, including its 1953 nationalization under the East German government, until 2008.

This delightful Wallendorf figurine features an adorable young boy, a leaf in his hand, preparing to feed a pair of Rabbits.

Exquisitely executed and detailed, finished in bisque porcelain with glazed accenting, this Wallendorf figurine is in mint condition, free from chipping, cracking or repairs.

Marked at the base with Wallendorf's crown "W 1764" mark and shape #1183.

H 6", W 3.5", L 4.75".
