Phoenix Glass Sculptured Artware Bluebell Vase, w/Label

When Kenneth Haley, who, with his father Reuben had created Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass in 1926, left Consolidated for the Phoenix Glass Company in 1928 he took with him 45 of the Consolidated Martele' molds, which were to become Phoenix's "Reuben Line", and the basis for their "Sculptured Artware" line of art glass. This expanded line of glass was in production by 1934, and featured new pieces and finishes.

This lovely Phoenix Sculptured Artware Bluebell vase with flaring rim features elegant bell-shaped blooms on graceful, slender stems, finished with an ecru wash over satin sculptured cameo glass.

It is in excellent condition, with only a slight surface scratch near the base, and free from chipping, cracking or color loss.

Marked with silver over black "Phoenix Sculptured Artware" label, dating this piece to 1933 - 1936.
