Royal Doulton Figurine, "The Potter", HN 1493

Royal Doulton, a classic English name in tableware and ceramics with a pedigree dating back to 1815, was granted the Royal warrant in 1901 by King Edward VII. Royal Doulton launched its definitive HN Series of Pretty Lady figurines in 1913, and these collectables increased in popularity exponentially, driving the move into collectable figurines by 1939. In 2005, this historic name became part of the Waterford Wedgwood group. Today, Royal Doulton is a world-class brand in quintessential British tableware, collectable figurines, crystal, glass and giftware.

This exquisite figurine designed by Charles Noke titled "The Potter", first issued in 1932 and withdrawn in 1992, is a superb depiction of the noble craftsman decorating his wares. This example was likely produced during the 1960's.

Condition is superb, free from chipping, cracking, crazing or restoration.

Marked at base with Royal Doulton's crest mark, title, HN #1493 and artist's mark.
