The Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co., like most manufacturers of decorative items of the era, struggled to stay afloat after the onset of the Great Depression, but were forced to cease operations and shut their doors in April of 1932. When they began production again in 1936, America's desire for fanciful art glass had waned, and simpler styles were in vogue.
Consolidated's "Regent" line of cased glass items, introduced circa 1940, utilized forms from previous art lines, but presented them in a simple, understated manner. This lovely and hard to find Regent sweet pea vase is a shape introduced more than a decade earlier in
Consolidated's popular Catalonian line, with its distinctive and intentional bubbles, blisters and inclusions within the glass.
Produced in delicate ash-rose pink cased glass, this wonderful Regent sweet pea vase is in excellent condition, free from chipping or cracking.
Unmarked, but guaranteed to be authentic, vintage Consolidated Regent glass.
H 4.25", rim 4.5", base 2.25".
