Consolidated Martele' Iris Pattern Plate, French Crystal, Ca. 1930

Designed by Reuben Haley and introduced in 1926, Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass was inspired by the glorious works of Rene' Lalique featured at the 1925 Paris Exposition. Haley, who had previously been associated with Hocking and Fostoria, worked with his son Kenneth to produce the Martele' collection. An early catalog from Consolidated describes the line as combining "the skill of the artist, sculptor and glass artisan to bring out the hand wrought motifs obtained from nature's own laboratories...the sea, the sky and the land have each supplied an inspiration to the artists."

This elegant Consolidated Martele' "Iris" pattern beveled edge plate with classic French crystal treatment is in excellent condition, free from chipping or cracking, with minimal age-appropriate wear.

Unmarked, but guaranteed to be authentic Consolidated Martele' glass.
