Weller Pottery Patra Vase, c 1929

The Weller Pottery of Zanesville was one of the most prolific of the Ohio Potteries, creating lines ranging from high-end art ware to functional commercial ware. A somewhat scarce late period line, Patra features a colorful abstract motif on a textured ground similar to orange peel, covered in a delightful golden matte glaze with a complimentary green matte interior and trim. This wonderful Weller Patra Vase from the late 1920’s is in excellent condition, free from chipping or cracking, with minor crazing present. Marked at the base with hand incised “Weller Pottery”. H 5.5”, W 6.25”, D 4.5”, base 3”.
