Verlys Tassel Bowl, Crystal Etched, Ca. 1943

Verlys of France, formed in 1931 as part of the Societe Anonyme Holophane Les Andelys, was one of the many French art glass manufacturers of the early 20th century who drew inspiration from the magnificent creations of Rene' Lalique. Verlys of America, a subsidiary of the Holophane Lighting Co., began production in Newark, Ohio in 1935 using many of the original french molds.

This stunning Tassel bowl from Verlys of America, produced using the original French mold, features an elegant Deco-inspired tassel motif with an acid-etched exterior and polished interior.

Condition is near mint, with minor age appropriate wear.

Marked with molded, raised-relief signature at the interior and etched signature at the base.

H 3", D 11.75".
