Consolidated Martele' Pine Cone Vase, Ca. 1928, Rare Color!
Designed by Reuben Haley and introduced in 1926, Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass was inspired by the glorious works of Rene' Lalique featured at the 1925 Paris Exposition.
Haley, who had previously been associated with Hocking and Fostoria, worked with his son Kenneth to produce the Martele' collection. An early catalog from Consolidated describes the line as combining "the skill of the artist, sculptor and glass artisan to bring out the hand wrought motifs obtained from nature's own laboratories...the sea, the sky and the land have each supplied an inspiration to the artists."
This stunning Consolidated Martele' Pine Cone Vase is in rare gloss red on satin custard glass. It is in mint condition, with superior mold and exquisitely rich, deep red color.
Unmarked, but guaranteed to be authentic Consolidated Martele' glass.
