The Cambridge Glass Company began it's illustrious history at the turn of the twentieth century. Originally founded as the National Glass Company, the earliest glassware items attributed to the Cambridge, Ohio factory were heavy pressed patterns that mimicked the popular hand cut glass of the era, rather than the handmade elegant glass pieces popular with today's collectors. By the 1930s, Cambridge Glass Company introduced some of its most interesting wares from a collecting standpoint. Throughout the '40s, homemakers entertained and decorated with the most popular Cambridge patterns. From the famed Rosepoint etch to the cool blue of the Caprice line, collectors clamor to own these sparkling treasures today.
This beautiful Caprice cupped shallow bowl, shape #82 in gorgeous Moonlight Blue with Alpine Frost accenting, is in excellent condition, free from chipping or cracking, with minimal age appropriate wear. Unmarked, but guaranteed to be original, vintage Cambridge Caprice glass.
