Phoenix Glass Sculptured Artware "Wild Geese" Vase, Rose Pearlized, Circa 1934

When Kenneth Haley, who, with his father Reuben had created Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass in 1926, left Consolidated for the Phoenix Glass Company in 1928 he took with him 45 of the Consolidated Martele' molds, which were to become Phoenix's "Reuben Line", and the basis for their "Sculptured Artware" line of art glass. This expanded line of glass was in production by 1934, and featured new pieces and finishes.

This impressive Phoenix Sculptured Artware "Wild Geese" vase features lovely rosy red coloring over pearlized milk glass, and is in excellent condition, free from chipping, cracking or excessive wear, with very minor age-appropriate roughness at the rim.

Marked with silver over black "Phoenix Sculptured Artware" label, dating this piece to 1933 – 1936

H 9.5", W 12", D 4.5", rim and base 6.5" x 3"
