Roseville Pottery Solid (Matte) Color Jardiniere #625-5, Turquoise, Ca. 1920

There is some disparity among pottery historians regarding this early period line from Roseville. Both the name of the line and the date of introduction are a bit hazy, but the strong arts and crafts presence that most pieces in the line possess is a certainty.

Introduced as early as 1916, this line features a group of unrelated shapes and designs, with the common element being the solid color glazes in matte or semi-gloss finishes.

This wonderful jardinière - the largest of the two known jardinières in the line – features a channeled design accented by decorative scrolled handles, covered in a gorgeous turquoise semi-gloss glaze.

Condition is excellent, free from chipping, cracking and crazing or restoration, with a .25" production glaze miss at the base edge.

Unmarked, but guaranteed to be original, vintage Roseville Pottery.

H 5", D 7", rim 5", base 3.75"
