The Eagle Pottery of Benton, Arkansas had been producing pottery for some time when they introduced their iconic Niloak Missionware line in 1909, and continued to produce an extensive line of molded ware through the 1940's.
This unusual "Strawberry Jar" vase features shell-like forms fronting the four lower openings, and is covered in a tan matt glaze with blue overspray at the rim.
Condition is excellent, with a production underglaze depression at the base edge that we have seen on other examples of this form, along with typical production mold inconsistencies, otherwise free from chipping, cracking, crazing or restoration.
Marked with molded, raised-relief "NILOAK".
H 7.25", W 6", rim and base 2.75".
