Consolidated Martele' Pine Cone Vase, Green Cased Opalescent, Ca. 1928

Designed by Reuben Haley and introduced in 1926, Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass was inspired by the glorious works of Rene' Lalique featured at the 1925 Paris Exposition. Haley, who had previously been associated with Hocking and Fostoria, worked with his son Kenneth to produce the Martele' collection. An early catalog from Consolidated describes the line as combining "the skill of the artist, sculptor and glass artisan to bring out the hand wrought motifs obtained from nature's own laboratories...the sea, the sky and the land have each supplied an inspiration to the artists."

This exquisite Martele' Pine Cone Vase, produced circa 1928, features sprays of pine cones and needles, rendered in satin crystal with a delicate green wash over opalescent cased glass.

Condition is excellent, free from chipping or cracking, with a pinprick sized nick to the rims outer edge and age-appropriate wear.

Unmarked, but guaranteed to be authentic Consolidated Martele' glass.

H 7", D 6.5", rim 3", base 2.5".
