When Kenneth Haley, who, with his father Reuben, had created Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass in 1926, left Consolidated for the Phoenix Glass Company in 1928 he took with him 45 of the Consolidated Martele' molds, which were to become Phoenix's "Reuben Line", and the basis for their "Sculptured Artware" line of art glass. This expanded line of glass was in production by 1934, and featured new pieces and finishes.
This gorgeous Phoenix Sculptured Artware "Wild Rose" vase features elegant rambling blooms and buds, with a wonderful coral pink wash over satin crystal glass.
Condition is superb, free from chipping, cracking or color loss, with minor age-appropriate wear to the base.
Marked with silver over black "Phoenix Sculptured Artware" label, dating this piece to 1933 - 1936.
