Verlys Pine Cone Bowl, Dusty Rose, Ca. 1938, Free Shipping!

Verlys of France, formed in 1931 as part of the Societe Anonyme Holophane Les Andelys, was one of the many French art glass manufacturers of the early 20th century who drew inspiration from the magnificent creations of Rene' Lalique. Verlys of America, a subsidiary of the Holophane Lighting Co., began production in Newark, Ohio in 1935 using many of the original french molds.

This stunning Pine Cone bowl from Verlys of America is in the gorgeous and subtle Dusty Rose coloring, one of the rarest of the five colors produced by Verlys. Based on the production period of the shape in this scarce color, its manufacture can be dated to between 1938 – 1939. Featuring a realistic depiction of pine cone laden branches, with an acid-etched exterior and polished interior.

Condition is excellent, with minor age appropriate wear.

Marked with molded raised-relief mark to the interior and etched signature to the exterior bottom.

H 1.75", D 6.25"
