Roseville Pottery Carnelian I (Drip) Fan Vase #52-6, Green, Ca. 1926
Introduced in 1926, the original production of this line from Roseville's middle period featured various shapes covered in a tone-on-tone drip glaze of either green or tan, with other color combinations following. The Carnelian II (or "Glazes") ca. 1928 took these same shapes, often already glazed in Carnelian I colors, and re-glazed them with thick, textured matte or semi-gloss multi-colored glazes.
This Roseville Carnelian I fan vase #52-6 features an elegant flaring arched rim glazed in tone-on-tone green matte glaze. Condition is excellent, with a hard to notice glaze nick at one rim edge and an errant clay tag on the lower center column, free from all other chipping, cracking or restoration. Unmarked, but guaranteed to be original, vintage Roseville Pottery.
H 6.25", W 6", base 4.25".
