Phoenix Glass Bluebell Vase, w/ Reuben Line Label, Ca. 1934

When Kenneth Haley, who, with his father Reuben had created Consolidated's Martele' line of art glass in 1926, left Consolidated for the Phoenix Glass Company in 1932 he took with him 45 of the Consolidated Martele' molds, which were to become Phoenix's "Reuben Line", so named to honor his father, who had passed away in September of 1933, and the basis for their "Sculptured Artware" line of art glass. This expanded line of glass was in production by 1934, and featured new pieces and finishes.

This stunning Phoenix Reuben Line Bluebell vase with flaring rim features elegant bell-shaped blooms on graceful, slender stems, finished with a yellow wash over satin crystal.

Condition is excellent, with an insignificant nick at the rim edge, and free from chipping, cracking or color loss.

Marked with a very rare partial "Phoenix Reuben Line" label, dating this piece to 1933 - 1936.

H 7", D 4", rim 5.5", base 2.75".
