Antique naive painting on board. 6 3/4" X 9 1/4". This could be by Maurice Hensel (faint pencil inscription on back top right) - a listed artist, born in 1890. Framed in simple gilded wood frame (frame has a crack on bottom center) which may have been part of a bigger frame, because sides are not gilded. Old square nails hold the panel in the frame. The painting depicts a fishing vessel, and a fisherman selling his catch to a group of people on the shore. There are stains on the right top - and the painting would benefit from a professional cleaning.
