Antique Victorian Goldsmiths Silver Footed Green Glass Bonbon on

Stunning 3 footed sterling silver bon bon dish. At least I think this is what it is used for. Lovely double curled and shell shape feet support a perfect emerald green hand blown glass dish. The silver frame is signed MG JL in a shield and has a lion passant mark, a leopard, and the letter "c" that corresponds to the year 1898. This was commissioned for The Goldsmiths Company, 112 Regent Street (London) - jewellers and suppliers to the Queen. Diameter of dish is 5" and it is almost 1 1/4" deep. Overall height is 3 1/4". Silver weighs 199 grams. Everything in perfect condition. Glass has absolutely no damage, and only minor scuffing from normal, gentle use. Really a fabulous piece that would look amazing on any table.
