Mid-19th c. 14K Gold 8-Panel Early American Thimble

A fabulous tall and elegant early American 14K gold 8-panel thimble dating to around 1860.  The panels are ‘draped’ and there are plain and two different folk-art designs on alternating panels. The thimble has a flared rim. Measures 2.3 cm in height and 17.4 cm across the opening. Thimble is engraved with a number 8 (size). There is no makers mark, and it isn't marked, but tests for 14K, and is guaranteed as such. It's in excellent condition with no holes or dents, and is in-round. It weighs 5 grams.
