Beautiful 18th c. watercolor portrait of woman in French costume? Measures 2 1/4" in diameter with frame. Ivory monogram on back. Signed "... a Bourges." I am assuming that the sitter is of a lady of Bourges, a city in central France. In great condition, aside from a little damage on her cheek. She is painted exquisitely. Her jewelry, the comb in her hair, her ruffled collar, and shawl. Great belt, too. Front has slightly convex glass, back is flatter. The monogram on back is also on ivory.
