A very lovely panel with a carved bouquet of flowers, it began life as a cupboard door. It comes from Belgium and dates from 1860-1890.
It is made of oak with some tiger oak at the central motif. The medallion panel features a beautifully carved basket which holds a large bouquet of flowers. Both side panels are fluted to mimic a Roman column. The medallion panel is inset with a small frame (which stands out). The hardware is still attached.
It is in very good and solid condition. It measures: 24" across and 23" high. The carved medallion measures: 13 1/2" square. The panel appears lighter in the photos because of the lighting. It is about three shades darker in normal lighting.
It is a fabulous decorative piece!
