Antique Nineteenth Century French Santos/Madonna Crown

This is one of the most individual and spectacular crowns that we have found to date. It dates from 1860-1870 and comes from Paris.

The magnificent design features nine large flowers which cascade in descending sizes. The glass stones include large oval and teardrop shapes and are in brilliant hues of green, turquoise, rose, ruby red, and clear. There are four clusters of very large round clear glass stones at the stem junction of four of the flowers. The metal work is gorgeous, with hand cut arabesques, leaves, petals and stems. It has a model number (901 w/metal mark) on the back band.

The front center height is 4 1/8" tall, the lower front sides measure 3" tall. It measures 6 3/4" in diameter when fastened in the middle notch of the back band. It is in superb condition with no missing stones.

It would make a stunning centerpiece to a beloved crown collection.
