English Edwardian 15Ct Gold Clover Swallow Pendant

This is one of the prettiest and most elegant Edwardian pendants I have had the privilege to offer. It is English and made of 15 carat gold with natural seed pearls. It is high on symbolism with both a clover and a swallow for good luck.

The pendant is 2" (2.5cms) long, including the tiny ring, and the disc with the swallow is 11/16" (1.6cms) in diameter. The entire pendant weighs 2.3 grams. The tiny ring carries a bail.

At the top is a small disc with a four leaf clover and natural seed pearl in the centre. Next is a slim bar, widening out at the base. This is attached to a pierced circle, punctuated by four seed pearls. In the centre is the swallow in flight. It is very finely engraved with great detailing of its feathers.

The back of the swallow is inscribed with the maker's mark `M W' and `15ct'.

This lovely pendant is in fine antique condition. The only small issue is a slight discolouration of the tiny pearl on the right , really only noticeable under magnification. It will arrive in a gift box.
