Art Deco Silver Enamel and Paste Geometric Pin

This quite stunning silver, enamel and paste pin dates the Art Deco period – 1920's – 1930's. It unsigned but the silver tests to sterling. The design is typical of German made pieces of the era.

The pin is 1 6/16" (3.5cms) by 1 2/16" (3cms) across the top. It weighs 8.1 grams so is quite substantial.

The spectacular design is geometric with angular lines except for the red enamelled half flower at the top. The colours are in bold contrast- flame red, cobalt blue and black. The design is accented with tiny sparkling pastes.

The back is plain silver with an old style c clasp.

This wonderful piece is in excellent vintage condition . The enamel and pastes are all intact. You can see a small indentation in the red area on the left but under a loupe it looks as if it occurred during manufacture. There is just a little darkening of the red enamel in two tiny spots at the base. I mention these tiny flaws for total accuracy but they are hardly noticeable to the naked eye. This fabulous pin will arrive carefully presented in a gift box.
