Vintage JUDITH HENDLER Acrylic Windowpane Necklace

Circa 1970's clear acrylic necklace by Judith Hendler. The two large elements featured on this necklace were salvaged from Ms. Hendler's supplier SWEDLOW AVIATION Acrylic experimentation with acrylic "stained glass windows". She very cleverly incorporated them into this fantastically bold design. Necklace opens at one end of the C-shaped frosted acrylic back piece. Interior width of this necklace is 4 3/4". The stained glass (acrylic) pieces each measure 6" long and 3 1/4" wide.

She went on to use her own materials, and create jewelry of unparalleled beauty, filled with the lightness and lucidity of luminous LUCITE (acrylic)]
