The impressed back stamp is shown and dates this piece to 1860's. This stamp appears on both pieces.

This White Ironstone Covered Tureen is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips - there is some light crazing. There is a small dark spot on the lid and also a slightly yellowed crazing v between the leaves on the lid - see pictures. These are the only things noted on this beautiful piece of antique ironstone.

This Rare English White Ironstone Covered Tureen is extremely lovely - being the desired bluish white and with its glaze bright and shiny.

It stands about 9 inches with the lid and the bowl measures about 10 5/8 inches by 8 1/8 inches.

Antique English white ironstone is increasing in popularity and this piece would be a most special addition to or start of your collection.
