Presidential Drop Rose Pattern -

This beautiful antique Haviland pattern is referred to as "Presidential Drop Rose" because it was President McKinley's personal china pattern - purchased in 1900 - the year before he was assassinated.

This Haviland Limoges Drop Rose Pattern Features Pink American Beauty Roses encircling the bowl - both on the inside and outside. The rim has a cobalt border accented with gold trim. There is also a gold border design encircling the center of the bowl with a gold medallion at the very center. The handles have gold swirls accenting the embossed blank. There is even gold to be found on the outside of this special bowl at the bottom rim.

Truly An Exquisite Piece Of Antique Haviland China!

This bowl is in very good condition with no cracks or chips or wear to the gold. It measures 9 3/4 inches across including the handles.

Back stamp is shown and dates this china to the early 1900's.

While doing research on this piece I discovered a similar bowl pictured with the caption -

"William McKinley dinner service in Liberty Museum. Philadelphia, PA."

"The china, porcelain, glassware & silverware used by United States Presidents in the White House & their private lives are featured at many presidential sites & museums & are often revealing of the values of these national leaders."
