Vintage Bronze Pheasant Cock Coin or Card Dish, Virginia Metal Crafters
This wonderful bronze dish is made by the Virginia Metal Crafters. It is dated 1948 and in excellent shape with no flaws. The dish is fully marked on the back as shown. It measures 9 1/2" by 3" and is 1" high.
The Virginia Metal Crafters company has been in business since 1890, and started making stoves and later moved into gift ware. In 1951 they began a partnership with Colonial Williamsburg in pioneering restorations of historical buildings and outfitting them. They went out of business in 2005.
