This stunning pair of antique French bronze Tazza comes from the south of France. Each consists of a shallow bowl on a stem, with a domed lid with a butterfly handle. These pieces were often used as mantle or shelf decorations and can hold small items or even flower buds with a scent. The tazzas date from the third quarter of the 19th Century and have a beautiful patina. The condition is very good, there is one small flaw: a small crack has developed on the base as shown in the 6th photo.Also one of the handles is loose. Measurements are: height is 9 ¼", handle to handle is 8 ¼".
