Rare Illinois 165 Open Face, 3 Finger Lever Pocket Watch
This watch has just been serviced and the watch man was nice enough to give me details about this watch. I am not an expert, so this is his opinion:
165 Illinois 15 Jewel Open Face Watch
Base Metal with lever set at 1.30. It has a three finger, one winding wheel movement. SW# is 2225933, dated 1910 – 1911. This is a model 5 and it had a low production. The face says Arthur D Everts Co, with is the name of the watch maker that sold this watch. Both the case and the movement are marked Illinois Watch Co. It has a new glass and comes with a newer leather holster. The watch runs very well and is in very good condition, the only flaw is a chip on the double sunk dial at 3 to 4 o'clock. See photo.
