This book is a fabulous catalogue of some of the famous early illuminated Hebrew manuscripts still in existence. The book has 60 tipped in plates and a clear English description of the plate is portrays. Published in 1969, this is a first Edition, first printing by Keter Publishing House, Ltd. Jerusalem, Israel.
The book is in good condition, but is missing the dustcover and has one plate missing. The rest of the book is clean, odor free and the plates are breathtaking. The binding is tight but the front cover has been reattached to the fly page. Anyone interested in books as an art form is going to enjoy looking at these plates.
The book has 175 pages and measures 131/2" by 91/2" and is ¾" thick.
