The Lonesomest Doll Abbie Farwell Brown, Illustr. E. Pollak 1901
This book is a real treasure! It is the story of a queen (8 years old) and her doll. The doll has never been touched as it is too beautiful to handle and the queen also is lonesome. Enter a young servant girl who finds both the queen and the doll and the adventure begins! A very nice story with a lot of suspense. The illustrations are in pen and ink and are very detailed. E. Pollak did a very nice job. 76 pages, there is a very old library card pasted to the inside back cover
The book is from 1901, so over 100 years old and has some signs of it. There are some stains on some of the pages and the cover has some staining and rubbing. The binding is still good and all the pages are present and odor free.
A great addition to a vintage doll collection, a joy to read!
