This is a small soft cover pocket guide to the most common wild flowers east of the Rockies. Now that we are in the thick of winter, spring is what we are all looking forward to and the wild flowers are the first and most intriguing of Mother Nature’s reminder that life goes in cycles. There are 320 flowers in color, painted by the author. The size is just right for a coat pocket or backpack. Also the fact that it dates from 1926 adds intrigue as not all flowers survive and appear consistently over the years. There might even be an extinct species in this volume. Size is 51/4” by 31/4”, 228 pages. Book is in good vintage condition, previous owner’s name on fly page, damage to the outside of the back cover, spine is rubbed and corners are rubbed.
