A Guide To Wild Flowers, Woodland Flowers 1945
Here is another of these very handy field guides, this time featuring wild flowers. Issued by Whitman Publishing Co., Racine Wisconsin. The book has very nice illustrations on each page, giving the common and Latin name of many of America’s wild flowers. This is a great time to acquire this book, as most woodland flowers bloom in the spring, when there is still enough sunlight coming to the forest floor.
The author is T.H. Everett, Horticulturist, New York Botanical Gardens, illustrated in full color by Rudolf Friend. Book is in good vintage condition, with one very small spot to the front cover. Binding is tight and pages are clean and odor free.
