Fine 22" Kestner 152 Original Body Finish & Wig Antique Costume

This 22" Kestner doll is incised on the back of her head "made in / H Germany 12 / 152". The body is marked "Germany" in red on her right hip. The doll has fine quality bisque and painting and beautiful threaded blown glass sleep eyes with the original lid finish. She is on her original fully jointed quality composition and wood body with the original finish. There is wear at the joint. The hands are intact with no chipped fingers. Her original blond mohair wig is center parted with curls around her head. It is full and in good condition. The pink ribbons are additions. She has no pate.She has old and probably original linen pantaloons and an old linen petticoat. She wears an old White Dotted Swiss dress in a Kate Greenaway style. It opens down the back and closes with tiny shell buttons and hand made loops. There is a self belt and a bow in back. Her antique Pink cloth shoes are worn at the toes and the soles. The toe ornament is missing on the right one. Her frilly Kate Greenaway style bonnet is old with Pink ribbons and ties. The wide silk ties are frail and worn. She is a beautiful German girl and of high quality.
