Here is a 14" pink tint "Covered Wagon" 1850's china. This doll has a white center part hairdo with 10 sausage curls around her head. She has a serene face with blue eyes with black liner, black center and no white highlight. She has red lid lines, one stoke black brows, rosy cheeks, red nose & eye dots and coral mouth with thin lips and extended corners in the Kister style. She has a deep wide shoulder plate with 2 sew holes on each side. Her shoulder plate and head are 4" tall. Her plate is 3.5" shoulder to shoulder. The head is in good condition overall. I note a pit on right cheek under her eye, a black freckle on her left face side near the hair and slight wear on the top of curls in the back. Note : Clothing was loosened at the bodice & reveals a fine line under the glaze from the right front sew hole up to just under the shoulder mold line. There is a line that goes through the glaze from the right front sew hole to plate edge Price has been adjusted by $195. She is on her original linen body with linen legs and china arms with spoon hands. The body was examined through the clothing and appears to be sturdy and intact with a few little pin head holes in the legs. She has antique linen pantaloons, petticoat and chemise. fancy black open work stockings, vintage cranberry linen dress with black braid & lace trim, old window check shoulder tie pinafore apron and newer black shoes. The clothing is all hand stitched. . She is probably by the A.W Kister firm and is a quality and desirable china doll in nice cabinet size.
