20" SFBJ 301 Tete Jumeau Original Wig Shift Shoes Gloves Mama Strings

Here is a wonderful example of the SFBJ 301 mold with Tete Jumeau in red on the back of her neck. Her full mark is incised "FRANCE // S.F.B.J // 301 //Paris //9". The red stamp "Tete Jumeau" mark is across the "301". This doll still has her never removed brown mohair wig with hundreds of tiny ringlets all over her head.. In addition she has wonderful short cream kid gloves with scalloped carmel wrist edges that have never been off and cream kid shoes stamped "Modell Depose". The doll has molded brows, blue sleep eyes, hair lashes, original lid finish, carmine open mouth with 4 molded teeth, pierced ears and even rosy blush. There are some missing lashes on the right She is on a French composition and wood body with voice box and mama papa pull string. They work but are soft sounding. The body has the original finish with surface cracks and bruises in places.. She retains her original lace trimmed white and blue lawn shift and lace trimmed lawn under's. She has an elaborate custom made costume with pale blue taffeta and white knit lace dress, claret taffeta vest, blue taffeta hat with pink ostrich feather trim. She makes a striking figure. Her wig will be gently lifted in back to allow the head to be packed before shipping. I usually remove clothing for shipping and ship the pieces in plastic bags with the doll. I will remove the jacket and hat and use tissue under the costume skirt to prevent wrinkling. She is on display at the Yellow Garage Antique Center in Mullica Hill NJ
