Here is a very lovely little "Dresden" Parian lady in a nice cabinet size complete with layered under's, pink lawn fashion dress and her own saddle stand. This doll has original linen body with slender Parian lower arms and spoon hands. Her Parian lower legs end in flat brown boots with long white stockings and blue garters above. She has a beautiful classic face with straight nose, corn flower blue eyes, black upward placed pupils, black liner, red lid line, nose dots, eye dots, nicely modeled and painted mouth with extended corners, rosy even blush and tan eye brows. Her tan colored hair is deeply comb molded, parted in the center with waves, puffed wavy sides, turned under curls and ringlets in the back. She has a molded and painted black and gold necklace, black and gold beads across her hair in back and a crown of molded painted flowers on top. The crown has a central Rose with Morning Glories & leaves on the sides. There is loss to the flower and leaf edges. The head and plate are free of hairlines and rubs. The body and limbs are complete and free of damage, The doll is attributed to the German firm of Dornheim, Koch & Fischer of the Thuringia area. She dates to about 1870. Her clothing is old and looks original. It is sewn on and has not been removed. She wears dainty linen pantaloons with tiny ric rac shaped tatted trim at the leg bottoms and Ivory colored feather stitching above.. Her chemise and flounced petticoat are edged in the same tatted trim. Her palest pink lawn dress has a draped bodice trimmed with net lace. The same lace is at the sleeve ends. The dress has a flounce with train in back. The dress has some light age foxing but is sturdy and shows well. This is a very lovely little cabinet size doll and is already for display
