This beautiful 13" Bahr & Proschild girl is all original with elaborate , colorful Regional costume, lovely braided blond hair wig, pierced ears, bright blue sleep eyes with original lid finish and a bright red painted open mouth with 6 squared off little teeth on the top. Her painting and bisque are fine. Their are no rubs, cracks, chips or hairlines. She is incised "320-3/dep. She was made for the French Trade by the German firm of Bahr & Proschild(Baehr & Proeschild) between 1888-1895. She has a plaster pate in her wig. (Various other doll companies purchased heads from Bahr & Proschild. THere are other dolls not made by Kestner that have characteristically been found with plaster pates such as the 192 now attributed to K*R.) Bahr & Proschild dolls have a "French " look. This one is a choice cabinet size of 13" to the head top & 15" to tip of the hat. This doll is on display at the Yellow Garage Antique Center in Mullica Hill.
