This 23" Unis France Doll is one of the last of the dolls made under the name Jumeau . She has high colored bisque marked "UNIS France" in an ellipse. She is all original with a Jumeau foil hang tag. She has an open moth with molded teeth, brown eye shadow, hair lashes, original lids and blue sleep eyes. She has an eye mechanism that allows her to flutter her eyes like a flirty girl. The movement is up and down. I note a little flake on the inside rim of her left lower lid and a mold flaw on her right eye ball. Her head is other wise in good condition without rubs or hairlines. Her dark wig is in the original set with center part and skinny sausage curls all around. She is on a very nice jointed wood and composition jointed French body with fine original finish. Her costume is all original and consists of crispy cotton one piece slip with attached pants, a short pink silk like dress with rows of gathers and blue smocking on the bodice and sleeves, matching pink velour slouch hat, ivory socks and shoes with toe ornaments. She still retains the original "Poupee//Jumeau//Paris// Made in France" foil hang tag. She is a very nice all original example of the "Unis" 301 mold from the 1930's. She is on display at the Yellow Garage Antique Center in Mullica Hill, NJ 08302
