Final Reduction: This is an 18" poured was infant with a rose tint, beautiful light blue glass eyes, an inserted cap of fine pale blond hair, lovely clear modeling nicely molded arms and legs with no damage to fingers or toes. The doll has a "Hamley" stamped cloth body. It has no maker marks. It is of the type attributed to Pierotti and is in rather good condition. It is clothed in a fine lawn long gown with a lovely white work panel down the front, a long linen slip, a champagne colored winter slip, linen camisole and little knitted slippers. The clothing is in good condition with some wax residue. The doll's body is strong and surprisingly clean. The wax has some fine lines in it but there are no cracks or blemishes. Hair is quite full. This is a lovely English wax doll from 1850-1860.
