12" Cloth Covered Brindle & Cream French Bull Dog Glass Eyes

Here is a striking and quite wonderful late 19th or early 20th Century toy French Bull Dog. The dog is 12" tall and 14" long. He has a striking Bridle and Cream patch coat, amber glass eyes, short tail, wrinkles on his shoulders, short pushed in snout, broad head and tall erect ears. He is cloth covered . The cloth is painted or dyed in the patch pattern with bridle striping> He has a light weight wood and composition frame. Legs are wood covered in cloth. His nose is plaster. He has his original leather collar and an old red ribbon bow.He is missing his leash. Someone has added a silver detective's badge. He is an unusually large size and is in good condition with some wear to his nose and fraying along the ear edges. He is a great toy and would add to a dog collection or use with a larger French Fashion doll or Bebe.
