Fine Carmel Leather Size 9 French Shoes Marked C.P & L.I

This nice old pair of shoes are 3.25" long, 1.25" across the foot and 1" across the heel. There are made of soft carmel color glazed leather with leather toe bows, metal woven circle toe ornaments and ankle straps with a loop and button closure. They have moderately pointed toes and leather soles imprinted "9" at the toes and C.P in and oval on one and L.I in an oval on the other. The shoes are supple and sturdy. The shoes are 19th Century and of French manufacture.
