This spectacular bag is near mint and has probably been packed away for many years. There are absolutely no issues to report and given this is a 40-50's bag with style and real pizazz, it would be an excellent choice for an accessory worn today. Not often do you see so many figures in a petit point panel. I count 28 figures in voluminous robe-like attire attending some type of outdoor festival. This is bordered by black vicuna wool on the front with complete vicuna on the back. It is delightfully soft and feels very much like cashmere. Inside this bag reads Bags by Josef and contains two pockets as well as a place to hold one's lipstick. A very classy and well made bag! Measures 10.5 x 9 inches. The petit point insert is 7 x 5.75 inches.
