19 In. German Early Closed Mouth Turned Shoulder Head, Kestner or ABG

Some of the most beautiful German dolls are the quality turned shoulder head dolls by Kestner or Alt, Beck & Gottschalk. This lady has the palest bisque shoulder head and beautiful modeled bisque lower arms. I do not see a flaw anywhere on her head. Her brows are evenly drawn and feathered. She has upper and lower painted lashes surrounding her early stationary blue glass eyes. Her mouth is well modeled and painted in a light peach color. I am unable to completely undress her due to her clothing being stitched onto her in places but it is original and I do not want to take chances with the fragile silk taffeta which already has shredding. Her gusseted leather body has no leaking and it is clean and in good sturdy condition. She is wearing what appears to be her original long curled human hair wig. Her straw bonnet is adorned with silk ribbon flowers and ties at the neck with beautiful silk ribbon. She wears a lovely cameo choker necklace. Her underclothing is antique as well as her cotton socks. She is wearing vintage replacement shoes. I found no hairlines, chips, breaks or restoration to her bisque shoulder head or hands.
