Beautiful, large (I think the largest made) antique bisque Heubach piano baby with playful hands and feet. The blue intaglio eyes and the very heavily molded hair are typical of the Heubach babies. This one has well-defined features and modeling with pale flesh tone and cheek color. The toes and fingers have nail indents, elbows have dimples. There is professional restoration to four fingers on the right hand and to the right foot, none of which distracts from this lovely piece. The Heubach mark is incised on the backside. This piece has been in my collection for years because I thought it had the most defined modeling of any other I had seen.
