I am no expert on Barbie but I have gathered the information needed for a collector to know before they make a choice. The doll is the Fashion Queen Model and she is in excellent condition with no missing fingers, no marks and her facial features are vivid with no rubs. Her pierced ears have no green around the holes. She has one of the Fashion Queen wigs, the bubble cut blonde wig, which is in excellent condition. She has perfectly colored molded hair with a blue headband under the wig. She is wearing the Senior Prom gown which I am told is one of the more desirable of the gowns and is actually worth more than the doll. A Fashion Queen wearing the Senior Prom gown is shown on Page 227 of Jan Foulke's Guide to Dolls. The dress is tagged "Barbie" and does not have any stains or tears and appears to have never been washed. There are two snaps at the back and the lower top snap has pulled loose from its stitching and is snapped to the other half of the snap, i.e., just needs to be restitched. The backside of the doll is marked "Midge / patent mark 1957 / Barbie / another patent mark 1958 / Mattel Inc / patented."
