The United Federation of Doll Clubs Convention in 2008 was held in the city of Los Vegas, Nevada. Stephanie Blythe, doll artist, designed the souvenir doll that year and she was called "Celeste." She is a fairy-like porcelain figure with a cloth stuffed body. Her pedestal is a silver ball on top of a black wooden stand. She is mint in her original box and the white sleeve that covers the box. Celeste is approximately 8 inches tall and her pedestal and silver ball together are 3-1/2 inches. The UFDC selects award-winning artists to design the souvenir dolls. They are very collectible and many of them have increased substantially in value over the years. I believe this is one of those that will. The Jan Foulke series of price guides contains a section under "UFDC" that lists souvenir dolls from the National and Regional Conventions and their values. The dolls are all limited editions and were distributed to convention attendees as souvenirs.
