Original Costume for Antique Doll Approximately 11-12 Inches

Very well made original costume for a doll approximately 11-12 inches tall. The dress is made of wool and the lower edge has a 2 inch piece of black velvet ribbon. The trim is absolutely beautiful scroll-like designs made of cotton chain stitching in red and yellow thread. The sleeves have a one inch lace trim. The front of the bodice is doubled to form a side opening with two snap closures (one top snap is missing). I would say the period of the dress is early 1900's probably during the character doll era. The dress appears to be of Russian influence or possibly Scandinavian. Measurements: total length 8 inches; sleeve length, including lace trim 3-1/2 inches; around loose design sleeve opening 4 inches; waist 6-1/2 inches; around neck opening 4 inches; across back of shoulders 2-1/2 inches.
